This is a small, mixed-use development that seeks to challenge the typical suburban plan. The idea was to create a compact village reminiscent of historic towns with a central plaza that businesses and restaurants can face out onto. There is under-ground parking that promotes the compact feel, and the flood plain area was capitalized on to create a new central park for the small town. The streets in this plan respect the old town grid by way of connecting to them rather than ignoring them which in turn makes the project feel like it is a natural extension of the town.
